Information sharing is the main reason instructors choose to use Blackboard. The concept of sharing files with students in Blackboard is not simply uploading the file. The files you upload will reside in a File Manager that is viewable only by the course designer. To allow students to view the files, there must be a LINK created which links the student's computer to the file in the File Manager. Instead of forcing you to follow two different sets of instructions for uploading files and also inserting links, Blackboard allows you to create links and upload files at the same time. Below are the instructions for creating the link and uploading the file in one easy set of steps.
